Synopsis
故事发生在1900年左右的法国。时髦少女塞莱丝汀从动荡不安的巴黎来到诺曼底当家庭女仆。在兰莱尔一家人的别墅里，她面对的是好色的男主人和他那性冷淡、专横和嫉妒心强的妻子。塞莱丝汀决心避免遭遇厨师玛丽安的悲惨命运——自己结婚生下的孩子死去了，但绝望发现自己又怀上了。这个年轻的女仆对神秘的男仆约瑟夫的行径感到好奇：他四处分发反犹太传单，并暗示她可以在瑟堡为他从事妓女工作。
