Synopsis
1998年夏，长江突发洪水，某部排长肖勇接到抗洪命令推迟婚礼奔赴抗洪前线，他的未婚妻楚晴在电视中看到了记者采访肖勇的画面，同时接到肖勇的电话，部队已决定给他一个月的假期回家完婚，过几天就要回家。楚晴兴奋地做着结婚的准备，然而她没有等来心上人，等来的是肖勇牺牲的噩耗，楚睛急忙赶到连队。望着肖勇的遗物，一件件往事涌上心头，她怀着对肖勇的思念和对他英雄行为的尊敬，将他们准备结婚的钱捐给了灾区人民。
