Synopsis
为了从事故中救出好友，飞行消防员彼特（理查德·德莱福斯RichardDreyfuss饰）牺牲了。死后的他来到一个神奇的地方，美丽的女神哈普（奥黛丽·赫本AudreyHepburn饰）告诉彼特，他必须回到人间引领女友多琳达（霍利·亨特HollyHunter饰）走出悲伤，并再次找到她的幸福。于是，彼特化成了一具飘忽在多琳达身边的灵魂。他不能被凡人听见或者看见，只能默默的看着美琳达每天的生活。慢慢地，他似乎无法接受哈普派给他的任务，因为他是如此不愿意多琳达找到新的感情，爱上新的男友特德（布拉德·约翰逊BradJohnson饰）。就这样，彼特挣扎与自己的爱与嫉妒之间，无法自拔。此时，他却得知了一个比自己的悲喜重要得多的消息：多琳达出事了，生命危在旦夕。趁着还来得及，彼特不顾一切地奔向多琳达。
