Synopsis
清初，前明忠儒社公甫遭权臣鳌拜所杀，并私下谕令，将杜家满门抄斩。反清义士江南八侠与杜公甫乃湖海之交，故而连夜飞赶至杜府，抢救杜家遗孤。但杜夫人志节，在得知亡夫殉国后，宁死不愿苟活，遂将家中四个孩子托孤于八侠，求其抚养，延续杜家香火。 岁月如流……十八年后，杜家的四个兄弟姐妹天各一方，命运殊异。长子杜剑南成为八侠传人，名震江湖，人人尊其为“盖世盲侠”。次子钱塘不流落街头，因受生活所困，乃成为一名偷……
