Synopsis
下岗女打字员田淑英独自带着女儿生活。地质队长夏克平因工作需要经常在外地，把女儿小丽丢在奶奶身边。夏奶奶突然病逝，小雨无人照看。田淑英的女儿和小雨是同学，她们主动照料小雨。在这过程中，田淑英结识了夏克平。夏克平献身地质矿产事业的精神深深打动了田淑英，两个人终于走到了一起。
