Synopsis
故事发生在一座位于俄亥俄州中的小镇之内，丹琪（薇诺娜·瑞德 Winona Ryder 饰）是出生在这里的一位非常叛逆的少女，丹琪的父母很早就离开了她，她由养父母一手拉扯长大。某日，好莱坞大明星洛克西（卡拉·古奇诺 Carla Gugino 饰）将要衣锦还乡的消息传遍了小镇上下，洛克西就是从这个小镇里走出去的，全镇的人都等待着想要一睹这位大明星的风采。 对于丹琪来说，洛克西的回归还有着另外的一层重要意义，她一直怀疑自己是她的私生女。丹琪四处打听，想要得到确切的证据，然而她的养父母对此并不知情，洛克西曾经的情人丹顿（杰夫·丹尼尔斯 Jeff Daniels 饰）对这件事也三缄其口。丹琪决定离家出走，在半途上拦截洛克西，问个清楚。
