Synopsis
丹普斯肯恩（克里斯多夫·李维暂无内容饰）一直是位受尊敬的警探，表面上生活美满，妻子盖儿和弟弟尼克却私通已久，将他蒙在鼓里。一次突击中，丹普斯伤及脊椎，导致下半身瘫痪。绝望沮丧之余，他计划了一个诡异的方法，要让盖儿与尼克拿到他的寿险金，但结果却是盖儿与尼克身亡。资深警探莱哈特（乔伊·蒙泰格纳暂无内容饰）认为事有蹊翘，便着手调查发现许多疑点，他怀疑丹普斯假装瘫痪，于是将案子交给政风处，准备控告丹普斯，然而经过一番斗智较劲后，法官却因证据不足宣布撤销此案，莱哈特便……
