Synopsis
城市边界处世界上最大的耶稣雕像正在建设之中，男主角雅采克的生活因为一次工作中的意外事故使其毁容而彻底偏离了轨道。波兰媒体急切跟进着事态的进展，雅采克成为了国内第一位接受植皮手术的人。他可能会成为一个国家英雄或者烈士，但是他再也无法认出镜子中的自己了。同时，耶稣的雕像越建越高。虽然与主角相关的事件发展快且密集，但电影从未失去对大局的掌控，相反的，它使一切更加集中。
