Synopsis
经历过婚姻失败的莎拉（戴安·琳恩 Diane Lane饰）对感情失去了信心，大半年以来一直都是单身，与陌生男士的约会结果一次比一次糟糕。可这急坏了她的好姐妹，她们热心的四处张罗莎拉的终身大事，帮她寻觅约会对象。杂志、网络，各种类型的男士都成为了候选人士。妹妹还在征友网站上登出莎拉的资料和征友条件：这个男人必须是爱狗人士。 杰克（约翰·库萨克 John Cusack饰）就在这个时候出现了，他除了爱狗以外，其他条件都不大理想。同时，刚离婚的鲍勃似乎是个完美情人，他的应征令亲友们都眼前一亮。但是，情人眼里出西施，经历了众多失败的约会之后，对感情已经灰心的莎拉，竟然发现了杰克独特的魅力，两人因为一只圣百纳宠物狗而情牵一线……
